Dear Chazegh,

I have put a notice about sopa ... on the main page, if you feel it needs discussion contact me --russ_hensel 16:15, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

Dear Chazegh,

I russ hensel have just recently started contributing. I have some questions. I have found a few links on the site to zip and pdf files but have not figured out how it is done. Has the configuration of the site changed or is there some trick to it. It would be nice for archive files ( zip is good, you can wrap a zip around anything ) for eagle design files, office docs.... I realize there is a spam and disk space issue here, perhaps just for registered users. If not we should perhaps advise users to put file up off site.

Also curious where this is hosted, do you do it yourself, have a school server or have it on some service, just curious.

Would you be willing to share your email address? Mine is russ_hensel at comcast dot net.

Russ

Dear Chazegh,

Thank you for starting the Open Circuits wiki. This has a lot of potential. --DavidCary 19:37, 31 May 2006 (PDT)

Thank you for starting Open Circuits. I think one of the niftiest things about wiki (in general) is that even when the original person who started a project suddenly disappears -- changing jobs, moving to a different city, touring a distant country, adopting a child, joining a monastery, etc -- that it allows other people to immediately pick up the project, rather than starting from scratch.

So often people say "Wouldn't it be cool to build a ____?", but it never gets built. Perhaps they even take a few steps, but then it seems overwhelming. Wiki allows everyone to share shortcuts, tips, and pitfalls to avoid, and to improve the plans so they clearly describe exactly how simple it really is.
