Over the years SCIL has failed to maintain a working list server.  I have set one up at yahoo.  The easiest way to set this up is to get a yahoo email address:

https://login.yahoo.com/account/create?specId=yidReg&altreg=0  You do not have to use or post.....  It seams that this is a bit overkill, you just need an id.  You should be able to do this from a gmail account https://login.yahoo.com/account/create?specId=yidReg&altreg=0

Once you have it try going to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/scil/conversations/messages and see if you can sign up.

This directions are a bit vague, I am already signed up..... so things look different to me.  I am the admin so can approve you sign up etc.  Let me know how it goes and how I might improve these ( sad ) instructions.

Now Google... this needs documentation

SCIL Library of Stuff[edit]

This library of stuff has an unusual return policy: you can keep the stuff forever.

The stuff in the library is stuff that we have more of than we can ever use. We ask you to sign the stuff out, tell:

  • Who you are.
  • What you are taking.
  • What you will use it for.

Please take stuff that you have short term plans to use, do not just stock up your parts box.

So what do we have? ( note that some is just salvage stuff other is actually useful for it original purpose.
